I can’t express how much I enjoy using Infuse. It is the app they keeps locked into the Apple ecosystem.
I use a WebDAV share as my library and it always just works. The caching functionality will make sure your media never skips given that you have a sufficient connection to the WebDAV share. It integrates perfectly with Trakt to keep an ongoing list of what you have watched vs not.
