Long time VLC user. Wanted to try and play DTS HD, DTS:X and imax video files from the Apple TV and get the sound through my receiver .
Why Apple insist on ATMOS audio only is beyond me.
Anyway tried to play a couple of DTS demo video’s . And wow, tried a couple of movies and the sonic detail and deeper more engaging experience blew me away. It was like I had a new amp and speakers.
This app enables and does what the Apple TV should do natively out of the box.
Interface is nice, all my files show the correct movie thumbnails. Easy for family to use.

I don’t mind paying the subscription for the experience this app brings to my lounge.
I never thought it would be possible to hear these files on my Apple TV. Developers great job.
