Highly efficient compared to comptetition

So, I had this 10GB 4K version of a film, and since I tend to connect my Mac to the TV via HDMI, I was wondering what player would play it most efficiently. I tried VLC and ffplay (part of ffmpeg). Both were good. VLC was slightly more energy efficient. Then I tried my longtime friend from the iPad world, Infuse. It turned out it was WAY more efficient. It used one-fourth of the memory VLC was using, engaged the CPU and the GPU less, and ultimately consumed less energy. All the metrics are based on Activity Monitor tabs. The interesting point is I'm not even on an Apple Silicon Mac. All of this indicates Infuse is highly optimized for all Apple platforms.
