This video player has blown my expectations out of the water. I just wanted something that could allow me to stream offline movies from my Mac to avoid needing to using up my limited space on my phone. Not only does this app makes it stupidly easy, but even if you use an encrypted external drive and put your Mac to sleep, you’re still able to flawlessly stream. No need to wait for your Mac to reformat your content for streaming. Which would take a long time if each movie you have took a while to reformat and you happen to have a bunch of them. It may vary by your internet connection but in my case I have a fast connection.
My other favorite part of this app is how beautiful and modern the design looks and how it also provides thumbnails for the content you’ve added. The best part is that you can keep all your content stored on your Mac and you’re still able to see the thumbnails unlike other apps where they only show you the thumbnails if the content is locally stored on your phone.
My final point is that even if you don’t upgrade to the pro version, this app has everything you need if you just want something that works and you watch all of your favorite content at home anyways.
This app is amazing for anyone who wishes to separate themselves from streaming services and wish to own their media in a way that still feels as modern as a streaming service. In other words, this is a great way of creating your own personal streaming service for only stuff that you actually care watch.
