We've been using Infuse PRO across multiple devices for quite a while (Apple TV 4K, 12.9 inch M1 iPad Pro, 11 inch M1 iPad Pro, 16 inch M2 Max MacBook Pro). I also use good ol' VLC at times, and I can honestly say that Infuse is superior in a number of ways, both practical and esthetic.
Just one example: you can search for subtitles for a video within the app - very convenient. Another example: if your video happens to have a very low sound volume level, this is easily boosted beyond the normal range. There are many such thoughtful touches.
I usually turn off a lot of the fancy (and unnecessary imho) bells and whistles to generate a more 'bare bones' interface than the standard rather overdone one (I don't need suggestions as to which video to watch next, for example). This is quickly and easily accomplished through the accessible and easily-understood settings.
Overall, an excellent app, and well worth paying the small subscription fee for the PRO version.
