My 7 year old had no background with chess at all. I bought this app on Friday evening, and just handed the tablet to her. I figured she could ask for help if she needed it. By Sunday morning, she was challenging her dad and me to a game on our real board; she was so excited! A week of playing it in the car on the way to school, and one of her teachers told me she was teaching her friends to play on the library board. They got a kick out of listening to her describe how each piece moved, and the cost-benefit of sacrificing a piece, all in the language of a 2nd grader. Seriously an amazing app. This was such a great investment! Ty!
