If only all apps could be written this well. Infuse is by far the best video player available, excellent on both on iPhone and Apple TV. The Samba support to access Windows and SMB shares on my NAS drive is perfect. Movie and TV recognition and metadata fetching continues to amaze me and finally zero configuration to play virtually any video format I throw at it, regardless of container or codec. Doesn’t kill my phone’s battery either.
Growing up in the 90’s with the need for VFW, DivX, Quicktime plugins and managing multiple codecs, I really appreciate the simplicity of Infuse handling everything so it just works. Then having spent the 2000’s trying FrontRow and then Windows Media Center, I now run Infuse on my Apple TV as my prime home theatre, and again works perfectly with my Samsung TV.
I really don’t know how I without Infuse - five stars.
