I downloaded this app on a whim one night, bc i’ve seen people switching to dumb phones and i wanted to see if there would be anything useful, bc i am trying to cut back on my screen time and not have anything distracting there. I have actually tried having an actual dumb phone a few years back, but that was a total disaster and it would be even more so now bc i clock in at work on my phone
Usually when you try to do anything third party stuff there often isn’t supported alphabetical characters outside a-z as well as apps that i use very frequently that isn’t used frequently outside Norway, one of the very reasons i don’t think i could truly switch over to an actual dumb phone like the Light phone i’ve been seeing on the internet, since we live in such a digital world and everything i need is on my phone. Actually Everything.
I was so pleasantly surprised when i found out that this app supported Norwegian apps and that i could change the in-app Language. Also adding apps that wasn’t on their app library was super easy as well. Very Customisable.
I even pulled out my ipad and made custom icons for the apps i use most frequently as i couldn’t remove that home bar.
But then evening fell, and I found out I could have custom colours on the background and font.
This changed everything and I couldn’t stop myself so i made a whole new lock screen and home background and all new icons based on Gravity Falls and Fords Computer. I may have wasted a whole day of doing this but it was so fun.
Only criticism i have may be that yes you can have different app launchers however when you switch app launcher that changes the widget on your phone as well, and not choosing have them as a separate widgets.
So you can’t really switch easily between styles if you wanted to make a custom one for work and one for personal.
However, i’m not an app developer so this may be more difficult than i may imagine.
Anyway very cool app and works very well for its intended purpose
