yes you have to pay money, but cheaper than buying a physical "dumber" phone. it doesn't lock down and keep away all your other apps but this is Apple, they're not gonna let an app restrict your ability to use their apps. the tutorials on this are straight forward and i'm really enjoying my experience so far!
