In my long career as a small businessman (since 1993), I have been always developing my own web sites (I have three).
I am not a programmer geek as such, but an engineer with some logical understanding of how things work.
When I had my very first web site in 1995 (Yes, 1995!), I used all sorts HTML programming until the very complicated WYSIWYG programs (which were supposed to be intuitive).
I have certainly evolved through the typical Adobe complicated Dream Weaver, WordPress, BlueGriffon, up to Rapid Weaver (which claimed simplicity and elegance).
Dream Weaver, is just dreaming that it is a powerful and easy program to use, but like anything Adobe - it is just complicated and convoluted.
I was silly enough to subrscribe to the greedy Adobe cloud, and I could not get rid of the automatic subscription money deducation, until I called US (yes, I had to call the head office) and even then they did not let me go until I started threatening?!?
Next , Rapid Weaver, I bought two copies of it, one for my wife (she is also designing her web sites) and one for me. They lost me with their stupid stacks and plugins you have to buy to use them proper. And because they (Rapid Weaver) stupidly depend on somebody else's stacks and what not, I got so dissapointed and frustrated - lost my money and could not even update my web sites, as they updated their version, but left customer to battle through some imaginary world of stacks and plugins and confusions!
To be honest, all of them fail miserably when you compare them to Sparkle.
Sparkle just simply SPARKLES!!!
A beautiful and intuitive design program, which is truly WYSIWYG.
I rarely write Reviews, as I am busy designing my web sites :-), but I wanted to give these guys a good plug - they deserve it!
If you are on the look for an exceptional intuitive, beatiful and easy to use web design program - look no further.
Sparkle is the best web design program ever!!!
P.S. I also have worked with Kompozer, the free one which is not bad (being free) but not as WYSIWYG as I expected. At least I have Kompozr as fall-back plan.
Thank you Sparkle guys.
