Sales Representative

 Full Time | New York, NY (lower east side)

Data-driven decision-making is how successful app makers dominate the charts. We've got the tools they need to understand the app store and we're looking for a driven and passionate individual to introduce our reports and services to the world.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales process, from lead generation and qualification to pain point identification and closings.
  • Develop new opportunities by up/cross-selling to existing member base.
  • Reach quarterly sales targets through inbound and outbound sales.
  • Attend relevant industry events to learn more about our members and create new opportunities.

Requirements

  • At least one years' experience in sales, preferably in the app industry.

Community Manager

We’re looking for a Community Manager to join our team and energize our community of app makers. As Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for communicating appFigures to the world through social media and IRL events. Our audience is hungry for insights, and lives and breathes social media. Like every member of the appFigures, team you'll also be involved in making decisions about product development and the user experience.

Description:

  • Maintain, grow, and excite our community of app makers across different social media channels including: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and more.
  • Identify and maintain strategic relationships with industry influencers and organizations, including nonprofit and trade organizations, prominent app developers and forums/organizations dedicated to helping app creators.
  • Work with our data team to produce and share content that's relveant to our audience.
  • Measure engagement, trends and KPIs, and provide reports to executives.
  • Expand our reach into video via channels like Periscope, Meerkat and Youtube.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute offline events to engage with our community.

Requirements:

  • +1 years' experience growing a community in a professional capacity.
  • Experience with social media management tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.

Javascript Developer

We're building tools that make interacting with data simple, and work extra hard to strike the perfect balance between simplicity and function. Intricate tools require craftspeople who can build more than just reports. We make experiences. As a javascript developer you'll be building new interactive user interfaces as well as enhancing those used daily by thousands of app developers and marketers around the world. Like every member of the appFigures team you'll also be involved in making decisions about product development and the user experience.

You'll be:

  • Creating interactive and magical interfaces.
  • Building data visualizations using HighCharts and D3.
  • Coding modular and reusable UI components so the platform can grow faster.
  • Participating in high-level design decisions.
  • Fixing bugs or other issues quickly.

You Have:

  • Expertise in Javascript and at least one other programming language.
  • At least 1 year of hands on experience building and shipping production code.

Lead Generation Associate

The Lead Generation Associate is responsible for generating, prospecting and qualifying new leads for appFigures' sales team. The Lead Generation Associate is responsible for building out the company's sales funnel, in conjunction with the Sales Manager. A proven ability to research well and work well on a team is pivotal.

Description:

  • Constant lead generation, powered through individual research and the resources provided to you by the Sales Manager.
  • Add all new leads to the CRM and assign them to salespeople based on their respective verticals.
  • Communicate all relevant information of new leads to the relevant salespeople.
  • Assist the sales manager in maintaining up-to-date records of all lead interactions in the CRM.

Requirements:

Systems Administration and Operations

 Full Time | New York, NY (lower east side)

We're looking for a sys admin to help us maintain and scale the appFigures infrastructure as well as the code that runs on it. You'll be responsible the uptime and performance of a myriad of datasets and systems critical to our product. Like every member of the appFigures team, you'll also be involved in making decisions about product development and the user experience.

We use MySQL for storage, Sphinx for search, and Redis/Memcached for caching. That's where most of your work will be and that's all on Linux. We do have some Windows machines as well, but you'll be spending less than 10% of your time with them.

Responsibilities:

  • Scaling our physical and cloud infrastructure as the platform grows.
  • Developing and improving our monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Improving the reliability and availability of our systems and services.
  • Participating in high level design decisions about the appFigures platform.
  • Working with an intelligent team to create an incredible product.

Requirements:

  • Experience with production multi-server MySql clusters.
  • Prior experience with maintaining some or all of: Sphinx (or equivalent search), Memcached, and Redis at scale.
  • Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills across the entire stack.
  • Experience with physical hardware as well as cloud providers.
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools.

What Wouldn’t Hurt:

  • An interest in automating yourself out of a job (and then creating an even better job for yourself here).
  • A desire to take the lead helping us create a strong and responsible ops culture.
  • A history of staying up late the night before to be first in line for a new MySQL GA release.
  • Knowing a few jokes about Perl.
  • Having a solid understanding of network/protocol level bottlenecks and optimizations.
