December is behind us, which means it's time to crunch the numbers and rank the most downloaded mobile games in the world. And brace for impact because everything shifted in January!

Every chart changed a bunch in Janaury, but one thing remained constant. Subway Surfers was the most downloaded mobile game in the world in January. The king saw 20M downloads from the App Store and Google Play in January, according to our estimates.

Every other game on our list moved!

Royal Match was the second most downloaded game in the world in January. We estimate it made it saw 17M downloads which propelled it into 2nd place from 7th place in December.

Roblox came in third with 16M downloads, dropping a single spot in January. December is usually a mega month for Roblox, so this isn't a big surprise.

Block Blast, which came in fourth in January, also dropped one single spot. Free Fire came in fifth after rising three spots in January.

According to our App Intelligence, the top 10 most downloaded games in the world saw 141M downloads in January. A tad lower than January but not by much, indicating demand for games is still fairly constant and that publishers need to really fight over those downloads.
